Our Mission

BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C) mission is to support Orphans, needy widows and aged, abandoned children, abandoned and needy prisoners, safe water and sanitation, free consultancy to the less privileged and implementing grassroots projects in socio-economic areas of the less privileged, poverty reduction and health care in in Ghana, West Africa.

 

Our Vision

BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C) is to become known and recognized non- governmental and non-profit making organization in Africa dedicated to supporting Orphans, needy widows and aged, abandoned and needy prisoners, safe water and sanitation, free consultancy to the less privileged and implementing grassroots projects in socio-economic areas of the less privileged, poverty reduction and health care in Ghana, West Africa.

Background Information

BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C) is a nonprofit organization which was established on 9th September,2022.

It currently has its office in Oleander Street- East Legon, in the Greater Accra Region.

In the past years it has visited some major areas for donation, education and advocacy work. B.F.C aims at providing lifeline to the less privileged in our society especially those who are less privileged and needy.

The organization is intended to support the poor, needy, teenage mothers, women, Abandoned and Needy children, prisoners, orphans, abandoned old men and women and the needy to overcome challenges they face in terms of education, health, socio-economic, shelter and finance.

In the past years, BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C) has visited some areas apart from its advocacy and education to donate items ranging from clothes, footwear, food items and other personal items.

So far, BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C) area of operation has been the Eastern, Ashanti, Central and Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

Other remarkable activities undertaken by BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C) recently include assisting single parents financially in paying fees for their wards, preaching the word of God to prisoners and giving of personal items to needy children who are homeless.

The Organization also between the date of establishment (9th September,2022) has advocated through various media platforms for the betterment of the less privileged in the society to ensure their wellbeing.

All these benevolent activities were carried out by BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C)

 

The Organization was founded by Mr. Jeremiah Mensah and Miss Mariama Abdullah (who are the Chief Executive Officers).

BES FOUNDATION CONSULTING (B.F.C) aims at taking many challenges in the affected areas in terms Education, issues of shelter, single parents unemployment, women empowerment, Abandoned children, homeless children, abandoned prisoners, water and sanitation, free consultancy and orphans socio- economic strategies towards human Development.

The Organization has initiated projects in these directions but due to financial constraints, it seeks for funding and partnership in the implementation of some of its projects to addressing these critical challenges.

The Organization has always been looking forward for assistance in its developments to alleviate the people particularly in the pro-poor bracket especially women, children, youth, adolescents, old men and women, girls, teenage mothers, single mothers, youth and the needy from their plights.

2.0 Project Problem Statement

Poverty and Socio-economic hardship has been one of the critical issues facing Ghana. Recent report from the Ghana statistical Service attributed these factors as one of the contributing factors that affect the successful development by the less privileged in the society.

In Ghana, poverty and economic hardship is defined as a condition where an individual being it an adult or a child finds it difficult to live within the daily three square meals or having access to shelter or social amenities.

3.0 Project Description

This project is to scale up a number of activities we have engaged in different areas. Having accessed the impact of the proposed activities in other project communities in other places, we are of the view that scaling up will spread the impact to a larger population in our vulnerable communities.

Our Advocacy and various Project seeks to addressing challenges faced by the less privileged in meeting their livelihood, economic, educational, social and career dreams. Evidence in the problem statement show that people in the pro- poor bracket problem is multifaceted, and therefore the need for multidisciplinary approach to dealing with this problem. To this end, the project has two layered approach where the Less privileged (needy) Advocacy addresses information gap on lack of economic, social, personal items and health, and prompts personal development whiles the women empowerment organizations relating to livelihood, poverty, exclusion and discrimination. The Project is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

The project will tackle issues on socio-economic problems, poverty, health and education in discovered communities and areas in Ghana

3.1 Project Goal

To reduce homelessness and smoothen consumption among the r poor especially the abandoned children/ homeless and needy children.

3.2    To improve the general live hood of the people from poor homes and communities (Children/Youth and Adults).

 3.3 Project Objectives (POs)

The project goal will be achieved in 7 key pillars; ,

  1. Needy widows and aged
  2. Single parents (Needy)
  3. Rejected and needy(homeless) children
  4. Support for Orphans and prisoners
  5. Education of the less privileged
  6. Women Empowerment
  7. Youth development in the Rural areas

8.Water and sanitation

  1. Empowerment and improvement in the general livelihood of the people in the vulnerable areas and communities.

3.3.1 Pillar I: Needy Widows and Aged

This pillar focuses on addressing issues relating to the widows and aged making them to feel part of the society and how they are important to their community and society.

3.3.1.1 Pillar Objectives

  1. To enhance access to personal care, emotional and continuous love towards the abandoned widows and aged.
  2. To reduce low attention rate for the widows and aged in the society so as to prolong their lives.

3.1.2 Activities

  1. Build the capacity of Management Committee (MC)/Community Support Associations (CSA) to check issues which are posing problems for these abandoned widows and aged.
  2. Facilitate the preparation of Community Awareness Group (CAG) to addressing issues leading rejection in the society.
  3. Conduct mass education on the need to take care of the widows and aged.
  4. Facilitate the formation of Community Protection Committees (CPCs) and empower them to actively function.

3.3.2 Pillar II: WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

This pillar focuses on empowering adolescent girls, teenage mothers and women; socially, politically and economically. Major activities in this pillar are geared towards equipping adolescent girls, teenage mothers and women with livelihood skills such as bakery, gari-processing, soap making, hair dressing, dress making etc.

3.2.1 Pillar Objectives

  1. To enhance access to additional livelihood skills among women, the adolescent girls and teenage mothers.
  2. To facilitate access to finance and credit by small enterprises.
  3. To build the skills of enterprise groups in group dynamics, business and managerial skills.
  4. To equip the skills of women in governance, leadership and decision making.

  3.2.2 Activities

  1. Training of women, the adolescent girls and teenage mothers in additional livelihood skills/ agro-processing activities.
  2. Formation of enterprise groups.
  3. Support enterprise groups with start-up equipment

3.4:0 Pillar III: SINGLE PARENTS(NEEDY)

This pillar focuses on various developmental strategies geared towards single parents and adolescent mothers and to ensue better improved livelihood.

3.4.1 Pillar Objectives

  1. To facilitate access to good and better economic welfare.
  2. To facilitate access to better economic ventures
  3. To equip the general population (single parents) to have access to good health and personal development opportunities.

3.4:2 Pillar IV: REJECTED AND NEEDY(HOMELESS) CHILDREN

This pillar focuses on various developmental strategies geared towards the rejected and abandoned children to ensure better improved livelihood.

3.4.3 Pillar Objectives

  1. To facilitate access to good and better food welfare.
  2. To facilitate access to better shelter
  3. To equip the general population (homeless and needy children) to have access to good health, food and personal effects.

3.4.4: Pillar V: SUPPORT FOR ORPHANS AND PRISONERS

This pillar focuses on various developmental strategies geared towards supporting orphans, both at orphanages and individual homes and prisoners to ensure better and improved livelihood.

3.4.5 Pillar Objectives

  1. To facilitate access to good and better food welfare.
  2. To facilitate access to better shelter and personal effects.
  3. To equip the general population(orphans) and prisoners to have access to good health, food and personal effects.

3.4:6 Pillar VI: EDUCATION OF THE LESS PRIVILEGED AND GENERAL SUPPORT.

This pillar focuses on various developmental strategies geared towards the education of children who fall within the pro-poor bracket and are less privileged to ensure better improved livelihood.

3.4.7 Pillar Objectives

  1. To facilitate access to good and better education.
  2. To facilitate access to better educational inputs and materials.
  3. To equip the general population (needy children) to have access to good education, and learning environment.
  4. To provide general rural support to the less privileged.

3.4:8 Pillar IV: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN RURAL AREAS AND WATER AND SANITATION

This pillar focuses on various developmental strategies geared towards the development and empowerment of youth (both male and female) in the rural areas to ensure better improved livelihood and provision of safe water and sanitation for the deprived communities.

3.4.9 Pillar Objectives

  1. To facilitate access to good and better education.
  2. To facilitate access to better vocational training.
  3. To equip the general population (male and female) to have access to good training opportunities, mentorship and personal interactions.
  4. To provide safe water and sanitation for the deprived communities in the deprived communities.

4.0. Beneficiary

Our prime beneficiaries are the widows, aged, prisoners, single parents, orphans, homeless children, women and the general population (the less privileged in the society).

4.1 Project Strategy

In achieving the project goal of reducing poverty and socio-economic hardship and smoothening consumption of the rural poor; we will facilitate access to opportunities to widows, aged, homeless, single parents, prisoners, orphans, and facilitate training for women and youth on additional livelihood modules and support schools’.

CSA to address issues of child labour, homelessness, abandoned widows and aged, youth unemployment and economic hardship among single parents. The underlying theory of change of the project is that if the above mentioned individuals are supported and trained, there will be less pressure on government and society.

If the general population is educated on providing support then they will be abreast with COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SUPPORT practice, then they will adopt good management practices, individuals and the entire community will be well equipped to these problems and issues that confront these people in these brackets.

The project will also look at how to improve the general wellbeing of the abandoned and under privileged in the societies and the various communities which includes; widows and aged, orphans and prisoners, homeless children, single parents, development of youth in the rural areas and women Empowerment.
